By SOPHFRONIA SCOTT/Reported by Elizabeth Rudulph

They met, they courted, they eloped. They got married "the
right way" partly to appease his mom and the Catholic Church.
She had a miscarriage. Not exactly supermarket tabloid
headlines, but such is the drama played out in the upcoming TV
movie on the whirlwind relationship of Lucille Ball and Desi
Arnaz. Daughter Lucie Arnaz has been critical of the project for
reasons unknown, but actress Frances Fisher says she and co-star
Maurice Benard portray the couple tastefully, including a mere
allusion to Arnaz's notorious affairs. "It's not a trashy
exploitative movie," insists Fisher. "It's a wonderful love
story about people who overcome differences in their cultural
and philosophical backgrounds." So let the tabloids make trash
out of that.
